Jochen Isensee | Director

 

Filmmaker Jochen Isensee is a specialist in anesthesia from Baden-Württemberg, but also co-founder of Isensee Film GmbH from Freiburg and director of various commercials, documentaries and shortfilms. Worked for various smaller and large international brands.

His short documentary “Higher than the Earth”, won several awards and deals with the struggle of a young family and the medical team for the life of their child with heart disease.

HOPE is his feature length documentary debut. 

Talkingfilm Uganda | Coproduction

Talking Film Production was founded in 2012 and is Uganda’s premier independent film and television production company best known for long format films like Marvel Studios’ Black Panther and Disney’s Queen of Katwe, TV shows like CBS’ The Amazing Race 31: Who Wants a Rolex?
Talking Film is a leader in production servicing, co-productions for local and international films in Uganda and across Africa. 

Übergrafisch | Coproduction

Übergrafisch is a German film production company from Villingen-Schwenningen that specializes in documentaries and feature films. The creative work focuses on making the world a little bit better, to inspire and change through films. Previous work has won multiple awards, including the 2022 German Documentary Award as well as audience awards at the Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival and the most important up-and-coming film festival in Germany, the 2021 Max Ophüls Festival. In addition, the film Dear Future Children qualified for an Oscar in 2022. In addition, Übergrafisch‘s films have a strong presence in the national and international press. Amnesty International, The Guardian, ARD, ZDF, Süddeutsche Zeitung and others have already reported extensively.

Susan Grace Duku

Fled South Sudan with several children. Her husband, who worked there as a journalist, has been missing for many years. Formerly a radio host, she is now an activist and voice for 1.1 million African refugees. She is a featu- red speaker at the World Refugee Forum on women ‘s and human rights (including Geneva).

Anthony Felix

A refugee from South Sudan who founded an orphanage in Rhino Camp, giving children hope. He experienced a terrible childhood as a child soldier, then changed his life completely and now works to provide children under his protection with a better childhood than he had.

Brian Adeba

The Sentry is comprised of financial investigators, international human rights lawyers and regional experts, as well as former law enforcement officials, intelligence officers, policymakers, investigative journalists and banking professionals. The Sentry was co-founded by George Clooney and John Prendergast and is a strategic partner of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. Brian Abeba is a senior policy advisor at The Sentry and a former investigative Journalist. Although he emigrated to Canada he was born in Sudan. 

CDH Stephanus Trossingen

Motivated by the Christian commandment of charity, CDH Stephanus supports and mediates homes for children, disabled and elderly people, finances day care centers and transports relief supplies. Good relationships and cooperation with local partners, churches and organizations in the affected countries guarantee that the aid reaches those in need and does not seep away in dark channels. CDH Stephanus provides the local infrastructure the team relies on to minimize the risks to the crew ‘s well-being.
